We were engaged to design a high-capacity portable crane capable of lifting 1.5 tons per inch of boom extension — engineered for use in confined industrial spaces, maintenance yards, and mobile workshops. The crane needed to be modular, collapsible, and transportable, yet strong enough to handle heavy-duty lifting with high precision and operator safety. This project demanded a deep integration of mechanical engineering, material optimization, and stability control within a highly compact frame.
• Heavy-Duty Telescopic Arm
Custom-engineered boom with inch-by-inch extension capability while maintaining structural integrity under dynamic loads.
• 1.5 Ton/IN Payload Capacity
Load-rated components, reinforced hinge points, and structural bracing allow high-capacity lifting with exceptional force-to-weight efficiency.
• Foldable Base & Detachable Wheels
Designed for easy transport and quick deployment on-site, with locking caster wheels for ground stability.
• 360° Rotating Swivel Hook & Winch System
Integrated for manoeuvring payloads without repositioning the base, enhancing usability in tight spaces.
• Hydraulic or Motorized Actuation (Optional)
Manual crank or powered lifting depending on user needs — adaptable to field or facility operations.
We used SolidWorks and ANSYS to conduct a complete structural simulation — analysing buckling resistance, torsional stability, and stress concentration zones under maximum rated payload.
Material selection was made with a focus on high-tensile steel and aluminium hybrid construction, balancing strength with mobility.
A full-scale prototype was fabricated and field-tested for:
• Stability on uneven ground
• Load cycling performance
• Setup time and user ergonomics
• Safety factor validation for vertical and side-loaded conditions
The final crane unit was delivered as a field-ready, foldable lifting system, ideal for clients needing quick setup, safe operation, and industrial-grade performance without the bulk of traditional cranes.
This project is a benchmark in our portfolio for high-capacity, mobile mechanical systems tailored to real-world industrial demands.
